love is simple. no, love is not simple, but, this is actually the title of the new Akron/Family album! embracing once again psychedelic folk, weird chanting and sing-alongs, field recordings of birds & crickets, and other completely weird random shit. i'm really enjoying this one; it's a step up from their self titled, but still can never replace it completely in my mind. Love Is Simple is extremely catchy and you must listen to it if you're an Akron/Family fan.

and just to comment on last night's Wolf Parade show; it was pretty amazing/entertaining. Holy Fuck were impressive. WP played a bunch of new stuff, one of the better ones being Fine Young Cannibals, which i have a live version i stole from somewheres..
